Thousands of people from various parts of the Nuwara Eliya District have been arriving in Talawakele town to purchase goods for the Diwali festival.
With the National Diwali Festival being held in Hatton town, centered around the Nuwara Eliya District, a large number of consumers were seen visiting Talawakele for the trade fair organized by the Talawakele-Lindula Municipal Council.
The trade fair commenced on the 15th, and the Talawakele-Lindula Municipal Council has announced that it will continue until the 23rd.
It is noteworthy that the Talawakele-Lindula Municipal Council, together with the police, is jointly carrying out a public awareness campaign to inform visitors that all necessary safety measures have been implemented for those attending the trade fair.
