Mr. Udaya Gammanpila stated that it is completely unacceptable that former intelligence chief Nilantha Jayawardena—who had provided prior intelligence regarding the Easter Sunday attacks—was dismissed from the police service at the request of the Church. He emphasized that, throughout history, not all attacks have been preceded by advance information, and therefore this dismissal is unjustifiable.
