A father secretly loves his children every moment in his lifetime. When a child is born, in order to bring out the happiness that a mother and a father feel when a child is born, they must perform their duties properly for their children. But when the parents fail to fulfill their duties, due to various reasons they become helpless.
This story of a heartbreaking incident for parents was reported the other day from Aluthgama area. The father couldn’t wait for his baby to cry because of hunger. At that time, the father could not just wait he feels not good or bad, but his thoughts are on how to satisfy the child’s hunger.
He must have thought a thousand times about how to find some milk for the baby. The prices of milk powder have skyrocketed. There is no money to buy milk powder. But there is nothing to do. This father left the house saying to himself that he will somehow bring a packet of milk powder for the child.
On the 16th of August, this father who went to a supermarket in the area stole a can of infant milk powder worth about 3,100 rupees and hid it in his shirt, where there was nothing else he could do to quench the hunger of the crying child at home.
However, after an employee of the shop saw it and alerted the security of the shop, the police arrested him. A 30-year-old fisherman, a father of an 18-month-old infant was arrested. This is how he confessed in front of the police while crying about the crime he had committed.

This crying little child does not know that the mother does not have the means to bring milk to the father. The authorities of this country do not feel or hear the identity of such children. They only know how to enforce the law.
The question to society is is it only the mother and father who felt the pain of that infant? Today, how many helpless children are there on the side of the highway, unable to go to school, stirring up garbage buckets?
This situation is very sad. In this way, the children on the streets will not learn a letter and become prostitutes and robbers in the future. Who should be responsible for this? People are in poverty and helpless due to the present hyperinflation condition in the country. Endurance is reduced. A father never tells a child I can’t feed you, I can’t feed you. These words are never heard from a father.
Father’s love is the most beautiful feeling in this world. This is not affected by wealth or poverty. A father’s love for children knows no bounds. He wanted to fill the bellies of the children without eating or drinking. This father must have thought about the child’s hunger a thousand times. He must have cried a thousand times. There must be something missing to do.
A mother should be well nourished. she will never run out of breast milk to give to her baby in such situations. The mother can not produce enough milk because she has not got a proper nutritional diet.
Breast milk is a child’s right. But if the mothers fail on this because they do not have enough nutrition to them have a good flow of breast milk, she becomes very helpless. Mother, only if there is happiness in one’s heart, there is nourishment. It is not surprising that if there is no relief from the government even the babies of low-income families in the society, are helpless.
.Do mothers and fathers know the sacrifices they make to give birth to a child? Why the authorities of our country do not see these? This mother and father must not have thought to eat even a mouthful of rice when their child was crying because of hunger.
Every mother and father sacrifice their lives to take care of their children. That’s how parents are. The nature of parents. Both kindness and wisdom should be present in a child. But some children send their parents to nursing homes during their parent’s old age. Some children treat their parents only until the property is given to them. Those children do not think even one-tenth of how their parents nurtured them.
In today’s society, we can see many children who do not care for by their parents. Parents raise children after suffering in this manner. If the children raised in this way understood the suffering of their parents, there would be no old people’s homes in today’s society. A mother and father protect their children like their own lives.
It is the duty of every child to treat such mothers and fathers like Buddha. There are countless children in our society who are doing their best to support their parents. The support they do is of great merit. It is for this reason that even Lord Buddha preached that the support of parents is a charity that can bring the highest happiness in this world.
