Engineers said that by 6 am today (10), the outlet level of the Maussakale reservoir has decreased by 52 feet from 120 feet, and the outlet level of the Castlereagh reservoir has dropped by 37 feet from 155 feet.

Electricity generation is done in Canyon, Vimalasurendra, Lakshapana, New Lakshapana, Polpitiya Samanala hydroelectric power plants from the water obtained from those two reservoirs, and currently the electricity generation in those hydroelectric power plants is being done in the same way, the power plant engineer said.
