An overwhelming majority of the members representing the Colombo Municipal Council met with the Leader of the Opposition Mr. Sajith Premadasa today at the office of the Leader of the Opposition.
This group assured the opposition leader that they will work together with the Samagi Janabalawega and work for the victory of the Samagi Janbalawegaya in the upcoming local government elections.
In addition, this morning, a group of UNP MPs from Maharagama, Kaduwela and Attanagalla also took steps to join SJB.
