According to news reports from yesterday (13), Kilinochchi St. Theresa Girls’ College 11th grade students had to take their term exam while being scorched by the sun.
Following an investigation, it was discovered that the principal had ignored to assign the female students to a college hall because of a disagreement with the academic staff.
Some students answer the exam while holding up umbrellas and safety helmets, unable to stand the oppressive heat.
The parents feel it is a very sad situation that their children must spend hours answering questions when there is a school hall that is equipped to hold the test.
