Politburo member Milinda Rajapaksa has said that arrangements were made to hold the announcement of the presidential candidate in Nelum Pokuna Theater in Pohottuwa, but it was not possible to get the proper permission. Mr Milinda Rajapakse states that the decision was taken because the election rules and regulations must be respected.

He says that it is scheduled to be held tomorrow (07) at 7.00 in the Pohottu party office.

Mr. Milinda Rajapaksa has mentioned that as Pohottuwa said from the beginning, the decision to present a presidential candidate from the party will not change at all and the Pohottuwa candidate is none other than Parliamentarian businessman Dhammika Perera.

He has mentioned that the Pohottu candidate will be introduced to the nation with many features including dancing and singing.
