The Supreme Court ordered to convene on the 23rd to consider the petition submitted by Mr. Mujibar Rahman asking the Election Commission to issue an order to take steps to conduct the local government polls without any hindrance.
Former Member of Parliament Mr. Mujibur Rahman is contesting for the Colombo Municipal Council from Samagi Jana Balavega.
This petition was called today (16) before the three-judge bench consisting of Mr. Priyantha Jayawardene, Mr. Murdu Fernando and Mr. Achala Vengappuli.
