The Samagi Jana Balawegaya or any member of the Samagi Jana Bala Sanandhanaya will not join forces with the corrupt government that is oppressing the people by taxing and under no circumstances will th join forces with the evil people who have stolen, cheated, auctioned, and run this country under family rule. The opposition leader said that he will not get there seeking power.

Also, all those involved in the theft of dollars, which have been revealed through the Pandora papers, who stole dollars, resources and state resources from this country, regardless of whether they are in this country or in any country in the world, will be brought before the law of our country and the stolen money will be brought back to the country. The opposition leader said that the imposition of taxes on taxes will be stopped and relief will be provided to the people.

Also, opposition leader Sajith Premadasa said in Parliament today that if the President is thinking that the Samagi Jana Balawega will join the current government, it is only wishful thinking and neither he nor his party has anything to do with the Rajapaksa who destroyed the country.

The opposition leader said this while joining the debate held in Parliament regarding the agreement made with the International Monetary Fund.

The current government, which talks about taxing the people, has not yet paid attention to how to get the money and resources mentioned in Pandora’s papers back to our country, but the law and authority to recover the lost resources in a government of Samagi Jan Balawegaya  will be  enforced. The opposition leader said that the money will be returned to the country.

Also, although the anti-corruption bill presented by the government is presented in relation to the present and the future, the opposition leader said that the measures to be taken in relation to financial frauds such as corruption frauds in the past are not mentioned in it. Even when we talk about this, it is a serious problem that we do not pay attention to it.

The leader of the opposition said that although it is a good thing to go to the International Monetary Fund, the agreements reached by them are wrong and they should be revised as they include things that will affect the people. Also, the opposition leader said that dealings with the International Monetary Fund should be done to achieve victories for the country and not to lead the country further into an abyss. Today, the irony of fate is that a group that completely refused to go to the International Monetary Fund had to seek the help of the International Monetary Fund.

Mr. Sajith Premadasa, the leader of the opposition, further said that even though he and his group led by the Samagi Jana Balawegaya repeatedly expressed the need to deal with the International Monetary Fund, the Pohottu government led by Gotabhaya Rajapaksa rejected it outright and because of that, the country lost huge monetary donations.
