The police headquarters says that the reports that the Inspector General of Police CD Wickramaratne has resigned from the post are false.
Some websites had reported that the letter for the resignation of the Inspector General of Police has been forwarded to President Ranil Wickramasinghe.
In response to this, a senior spokesperson of the police headquarters stated that the reports that the IGP had resigned were false.
