The press is ready! The police are ready! Mail is ready! We are ready! A special statement from the Election Commission about the presidential election! I Sri Lanka Latest News

The Commissioner General of the Election Commission Mr. Saman Sri Ratnayake said that the Government Printing Office has informed that the State Press has enough stationery for 05 elections. Sri Lanka Latest News

It has been said that the cost of printing will increase four times in this election as compared to the previous elections.

Mrs. Gangani Kalpani Liyanage, the head of the printing press, has mentioned that a detailed estimate will be handed over to the Election Commission immediately.

Meanwhile, Inspector General of Police Deshbandu Tennakoon has mentioned that all the security arrangements will be organized from the acceptance of nominations in the presidential election until the end of the election.

The Election Commissioner General said that the Postmaster General had mentioned that all the activities related to the presidential election, including the distribution of official ballot papers, would be carried out without any hindrance.

He said that these notifications were made during the discussion held by the Election Commission.

The full preparations for the presidential election were discussed there.

Meanwhile, the government printing press says that the printing of documents including applications related to the presidential election has already started.

According to the constitution, the power to announce the presidential election is vested in the National Election Commission after 17.

According to the National Election Commission, steps will be taken to announce the date of the presidential election before the end of this month.
