It is reported that arrangements have been made to hold a meeting with the Pohottuwa group of MPs under the chairmanship of President Ranil Wickramasinghe next Monday (12).

A senior from the President’s office has called MP Namal Rajapakse on the phone to bring the MPs here.

Mr. Namal Rajapaksa has said that the President can call cabinet and state ministers, but if Pohottuwa councillors needed to meet he should take permission from the party and inform the Pohottuwa councillors through the party.

Namal Rajapaksa informed that the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna is an alliance and if talking about political matters, the party leaders should be informed first.

Accordingly, the senior of the President’s office has informed Sagara Kariyawasam, Secretary of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna, about the meeting on Monday.
