President Ranil Wickramasinghe has decided to adjourn Parliament on the 27th.
The President has mentioned this in the ruling party meeting held this evening.
The adjourned Parliament will be reopened on February 8.
According to the inquiry made by Member of Parliament Mr. Madhura Vithanage that members of parliament do not participate in parliamentary committees, the President has informed this.
Thus, with the adjournment of Parliament on the 27th, COPE and COPA committees will get abolished
