The opposition leader Mr. Sajith Premadasa has decided to boycott the party leaders meeting at 2.30 pm today.
It is reported that the leader of the opposition has taken this decision to protest against the President’s attempt to improperly interfere in the parliamentary affairs and to protest against the change of decisions made earlier by the Speaker.
Earlier, it was decided to hold the parliamentary committee meeting first, and then the party leaders’ meeting in which the President will participate.
But breaking that agreement, the Speaker decided to hold the president’s discussion first today.
