The postal ballot will be ready from the government printer in 5 days, and the rest will be in 25 days. NEC makes a statement!

The Government Printing Officer has informed the Election Commission that postal ballots can be printed and delivered within 5 days and other ballots within 20 to 25 days in relation to the local government polls.

Issuing an announcement, the Commission says that the Secretary of the Ministry of Finance has been notified about the relevant money.

Also, according to the request made by the press officer, the Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police (Elections) has informed that the information regarding the number of officers and required dates regarding police security should be forwarded to the Inspector General of Police and accordingly the necessary security can be provided.

According to the request of the commission, the decision to provide the fuel related to the polls has been expressed by the senior officials of the Ministry of Electricity and Energy and the officials of the Petroleum Corporation in the next few days.

Also, the Election Commission has also recommended that only the basic salary of the public servants who are present for the election should be paid during the delay period of the election.
