The police were successful in obtaining an order against today’s afternoon protest in Fort!

The Fort Magistrate issued an order this morning (04) preventing the participants of the protest to be held in front of the Fort Railway Station this afternoon (04) from entering the Presidential Palace, the Presidential Secretariat and the Ministry of Finance.

Taking into consideration the request made by the Fort Police B report regarding the related protest.

The Magistrate also ordered to prohibit the protestors from marching and entering the places, damaging government property and obstructing the duties of government officials.

The Magistrate informed the police that the relevant order should be read and handed over in the presence of Wasantha Samarasinghe, Bandula Saman Kumara, Ravi Kumudesh and Udeni Dissanayake, who are named as respondents in this incident, and that if they act in an illegal manner, they should act in accordance with the provisions of the Police Ordinance Act, Manmawat Act and other Acts. gave
