Mr. Balendrasiha, a police inspector who is suspended from work after arresting two powerful underworld criminals in the south, Karandeniye Sudda and Podi Lassie, was shot dead with a T56 firearm in front of his house in Rathgama last night (09). has.

Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of Southern Province Mr. Sajeeva Medawatta stated that Mr. Balendrasiha was coming home on a motorcycle when he met his brother who was in a nearby house and was engaged in conversation while he was shot.

Police information revealed that Police Inspector Balendrasiha was an officer whose life was seriously threatened by the two underworld criminals, Podi Lassie and Karandeniye Sudda.

The police information disclosed that there has been an allegation of assault against this police officer and that he has been suspended and remanded in custody on the charge of influencing witnesses due to threatening a witness against him.
