A photograph of former President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa’s office inside the Presidential Official Residence in Colombo has been included in the magazine’s 100 best photos of 2022 by the international TIME magazine.

This photo was taken on July 15, 2022, after the militants took over the Presidential Palace.
