According to the Election Commission, the call for nominations for local government elections will be held from the 18th to the 21st at 12 p.m.
Mr. Saman Sri Ratnayake, its Commissioner General, stated that the opportunity to deposit bail money is available until 12 noon on the 20th.
He also stated that the district secretaries issued a notice calling for nominations for the local government election today.
The date, location, deposit details, number of candidates, and representation of women are all included in the relevant advertisement.
The notice calling for nominations was issued for 340 of the 341 local government bodies.
