The Liberal leader’s image got tarnished in a day! 45 years of international recognition blacken? – Patali

Mr. Ranil Wickramasinghe, who became the President with the help of the protestors, attacked the same people and lost his international recognition within a day, said Mr. Patali Champika Ranawaka, the leader of the 43rd Division, Member of Parliament.

Ranil Wickramasinghe, who came to Parliament as a single member, became the President because the activists overthrew Rajapaksa and opened the way for democracy, and he strongly condemned the military and police attack on those activists.

The MP said that because of this attack, Mr. Ranil Wickramasinghe has lost the recognition he had in his 45 years of history as a democratic and liberal leader, as well as all his democratic friends nationally and internationally.

He also said that there is no disparity between this incident and the attack by the thugs of the Rajapaksa family on May 6.

The MP said this while addressing a press conference held today (22) in Colombo.
