Colombo Archbishop Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith said today (13) that the decision given by the Supreme Court yesterday (12) regarding former President Maithripala Sirisena and others who did not prevent the Easter Sunday terror attack is an important historic decision for all those who value justice and fairness in the country.
The Archbishop of Colombo said that this decision has given a message that there is no room for escape from the law if one makes a mistake as a president with executive powers or no matter how high a position one holds, and current as well as future rulers and officials should remember it.
The cardinals also said that they will not give up their exercise until the truth and conspiracy behind the Easter Sunday terror attack is revealed.
Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith, the Archbishop of Colombo, said this while addressing a press conference held at the Archbishop’s residence in Borella.
