Since the current government was chosen by the Rajapaksas rather than the people, he is afraid of the people standing up, so he is afraid to even go before the people to inquire about the people’s well-being, and they are violating the people’s right to liberty and freedom by creating restricted zones, as well as the people’s democratic right. Opposition leader Sajith Premadasa stated this yesterday (25) when speaking to the Galigamuwa Constituency Committee.

The opposition leader stated that even if the current government is terrified of the people and refuses to address them, Samagi Jana Balawega will never abandon them.

He stated that the current government members aim to enhance their ministries, benefits, and privileges without paying attention to the people’s problems, and as a result, they have been unable to bring relief to the people and conduct work for the people.

According to the opposition leader, food inflation, the cost of living, and even electricity prices have skyrocketed, and vengeance is being exacted even on religious institutions that contributed the most to the formation of this government, while brain drain and unemployment have also soared. This is because of the recent presidential election, and it was also claimed that the people were cheated and misused authority during the general election.

He claimed that it takes a lot of power to succeed by repeating lies like Naga Rajya Kolam and Nechi Kolam, and that the 20th Amendment was introduced and ruined the country, and that as a result, this administration took actions to deny the people of their freedom to life. According to the opposition leader, even if none of the Rajapaksa family members are in power, their gatekeeper is governing the country and serving as Rajapaksa’s henchman.

As a result, the opposition leader stated that the country will not thrive unless Rajapaksa’s shadow government is removed. According to the opposition leader, the current government is terrified of the people and suppresses the people and the media. Although the government should seek to develop a free and democratic country, the leader stated that restricted zones have been imposed illegally in the country, which is a terrible move.
