The governors say they can’t follow Gota’s orders! Decides not to leave the positions! EXCLUSIVE

It is reported that once again the governors have decided not to resign from their positions.

Before the president left for London, the presidential secretariat had informed the governors to hand over their letters of resignation.

Accordingly, although some governors decided to give resignation letters, some took steps to seek legal advice in this regard.

Former Chief Justice Sarath N. Mr. Silva had informed them that since the current president is a successor president, the president cannot remove the governors without the approval of the provincial council.

After taking legal advice, these governors had decided not to resign from their positions. They even took steps to inform the President’s office.

However, later the former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa called them and informed them to resign from their positions.

But even after this notification, the governors have decided not to resign from their posts.

Eastern Governor Mrs. Anuradha Yahampath has also taken steps to inform the media about this.
