The French President is expected to meet Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe during his brief visit to Sri Lanka on Friday.
However, it is unclear whether the French President will remain only at the airport after arriving in Sri Lanka.
Mr. Cyril Ramaphosa, the South African President, visited Sri Lanka a few months ago and remained at Katunayake Air Force Base.
There, President Ranil Wickramasinghe went to the airport and talked with him before cutting a cake for his birthday.
