A former officer of the American Central Bureau of Information who was returning to America after visiting Sri Lanka for some business last Saturday was arrested at the John F. Kennedy Airport in New York.
The international media mentions that this former officer named Charles McGonigal has been arrested for allegedly having relations with a powerful businessman in Russia.
The United States had previously accused Oleg Deripaska of violating the sanctions imposed on Russia.
Charles McGonigal retired from the CIA in 2018.
