The finance minister should give Kanchana dollars to bring oil! If not, a full-time finance minister ought to be chosen! President is requested by Pohottuwa MPs!

If the Prime Minister as Finance Minister does not provide dollars to resolve the gasoline problem, which has gotten worse recently, he should be removed from his position as finance minister and the President should appoint a full-time finance minister, asked by several Pohottuwa MPs.

In a recent meeting with the President, the team of MPs emphasized that Kanchana Wijesekara, the minister of power, would not be able to import fuel if the Prime Minister, who serves as the finance minister, does not provide him dollars..

MPs expressed concern that the Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe after taking over the Finance Ministry, has not yet brought a single dollar into the country.

Therefore, the MPs said, it is not beneficial to have a finance minister who is unable to act to handle the Dollar issue while holding onto his Premiership; instead, the finance ministry should be withdrawn from him and a full-time finance minister should be appointed.

At the same time, Mr. Wickramasinghe is pursuing his and his party’s benefits and daydreaming about becoming president rather than addressing the issues facing the country, MPs have stated..

A number of MPs are reportedly preparing to bring up this matter during today’s gathering of government MPs. Additionally, MPs are prepared to bring up the Dollar problem with the Prime Minister if he attends today’s meeting. .
