The entire country is waiting for the court decision tomorrow! Will there be an election or not?

All the political parties in the country are currently paying close attention to the court decision to be received tomorrow regarding the local government election.

However, the Samagi Jana Balawegaya plans to continue campaigning around the country as planned, regardless of the verdict given by the court regarding the local government election.

The National People’s Force had also conducted their election campaign activities in the Eastern Province yesterday and they have also planned

But Pohottuwa and the United National Party said from the beginning that the election cannot be held at the moment, and the country’s economy is not at a suitable level for it.

In the meeting of the group of members of the government held yesterday evening, a member of Pohottuwa asked the President about the election and there the President also stated that there is no money to hold the election.

Accordingly, according to the opinion expressed by the court tomorrow, it has been learned that the government is going to take a decision regarding the election campaign activities.

However, the opposition is alleging that the government is afraid of holding the election because of the lack of votes, not because of the lack of money.

Also, Mr. Lakshman Kiriella called a press conference the other day and said that no court in the world has ruled that elections should not be held, and orders have been given to hold elections.
