The dengue epidemic is getting worse! 26 deaths in 6 months! 45,269 patients!  I Sri Lanka Latest News

During this year, the number of dengue cases reported in Sri Lanka has exceeded 45,000. (Sri Lanka Latest News)

Data from the National Dengue Control Unit shows that 26 dengue deaths and 45,269 cases have been reported in Sri Lanka so far in 2023.

It is special that half of those dengue patients are from the Western Province.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health has named more than 60 areas as dengue high risk zones.

Based on the current situation, the National Dengue Control Unit and the Ministry of Health have taken steps to implement public awareness and dengue control programs across the country.
