The Commonwealth Bar Association, the Association of Magistrates and Judges, and the Legal Studies Forum have issued a joint statement protesting the summoning of the court judges who issued an order to release the money allocated for the holding of local government elections before the Parliamentary Privileges Committee.
In their announcement, they have indicated that the judiciary is an independent institution and influencing it is unacceptable.
