The Central Bank will take to the streets tomorrow against the government’s tax! Here is the announcement!

It is informed that the employees of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka will join the Island-wide strike to be launched on Wednesday, March 15, 2023.

In this regard, issuing a statement, the union of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka says that accordingly, services provided to the public by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka’s Employees’ Provident Fund Department, currency counters and regional offices may be disrupted tomorrow (15).

In this regard, the announcement issued by the Union of Central Bank Unions is shown below.

Kind announcement to the public!

The Union of Professionals Union is scheduled to conduct a nationwide strike on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, against the oppressive tax policy implemented by the government. Employees of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka will also participate in this.

Accordingly, we would like to inform that the services provided to the public by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka’s Employees’ Provident Fund Department, currency counters and regional offices may be disrupted on that day.

We are deeply sorry for the inconvenience caused to you!
