The Police Sergeant who foiled a money heist in Thambuttegama was rewarded on Monday (3).
Police Sergeant Buddhika Kumara was hailed a hero when he prevented a heist of Rs. 22.3 Million in Thambuttegama disregarding his own safety.
The Police Sergeant was invited to the Ministry of Public Security on Monday (3) where he was recognized for his bravery by the Minister of Public Security, the Inspector General of Police, and other Senior Ranks of Sri Lanka Police.
Police Sergeant Buddhika Kumara was promoted to the rank of Sub-Inspector and was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 2.5 Million.
