Ten students injured in an accident involving a private bus transporting school children from the Ranikadu area in Bhagwanthalawa to schools in Bhagwanthalawa town are reported to be in serious condition.

The accident took place at around 7.30 a.m. today in the Campion Watta area on the Ranikadu–Bhagwanthalawa main road.

Bhagwanthalawa Divisional Medical Officer A.S.K. Jayasuriya stated that 34 children were injured in the incident and were admitted to the Bhagwanthalawa Regional Hospital.
