President Ranil Wickremesinghe in his capacity as the Finance Minister has issued regulations temporarily suspending importation of many products with effect from 23 August under the Imports and Export Control Act.
Sri Lanka has limited imports of 300+ items, including Chocolate and other food preparations containing cocoa, and Perfumes, effective today (23).
The list for the Temporary Suspension of Selected Items includes the following as well;

Chocolate
Perfumes
Deodorants
Facial tissue
Tablecloths
Men’s and women’s suits
Underpants
Wristwatches
Electronic calculators
Digital electronic educational equipment
Shaver’s, hair clippers
Hair dryers
Rice cookers
Microwave irons
Playing cards
Keyboard instruments
Electrical alarm clocks
Binoculars
Sunglasses
Warships
Inflatable rafts
Wheelbarrows
Toasters
Electric Kettles etc..
