The Foreign Policy website has reported that 12 members of Congress have requested the Biden administration through a letter that Sri Lanka should be officially given responsibility for the violation of human rights and violation of international humanitarian law. Sri Lanka Latest News
The Foreign Policy website has indicated that the letter signed by these 12 members of Congress has been sent to US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and in that letter, the US State Department has been requested to deal with Sri Lanka under Article 30 of the UN Convention against Torture.
The website also reported that Sri Lanka has not been able to make significant progress in terms of justice and accountability.
