The Supreme Court has ordered that Harsha Ilukpitiya, the Controller General of Immigration and Emigration, be held in custody on the court premises until proceedings commence this evening.
This order follows a contempt of court charge against Mr. Harsha Ilukpitiya for his failure to comply with a court directive suspending the Cabinet’s decision to authorize online and expatriate visa operations in Sri Lanka.
