Mr. Sunil Hadunnetthi said that he would like to express his gratitude to the Legislative Council for defeating the proposal sent to the Legislative Council by the President to extend the tenure of the Attorney General for 6 months. Sri Lanka Latest News

The proposal was defeated by 5-3 in the Constituent Assembly and opposition leader Sajith Premadasa, Mr. Kabir Hashim and the three independent representatives had voted against it.
