Member of Parliament Ms. Sudarshanee Fernandopulle has left the government and is working with the group of 6 members who are with Mr. Anura Priyadarshana as an independent member.
Accordingly, this group recently met the opposition leader Mr. Sajith Premadasa and mentioned that they will unite to strengthen the opposition.
Sudarshanee Fernandopulle later said that she will take steps to strengthen the opposition.
But yesterday, when the budget was voted on, she was not present in the parliament to cast her vote.
