It is reported from Kataragama that the police intelligence agencies have received information that the 38-pound ranthetiya, which was said to have disappeared from the Kataragama Mahadevala, which led to controversy, was sold to a businessman in Hambantota, and a person who is said to be the daughter of the chief Kapua bought it for seventy lakh rupees. Sources also mentioned that this necklace was sold by a daughter of the chief Kapua to a businessman in Hambantota for 50 lakh rupees.

The same sources also say that the suspect Chief Kapua is going to surrender to the court today (27th) through a lawyer.
