Hambantota District Member of Parliament Namal Rajapaksa says that he has requested Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena and ruling party chief organizer Prasanna Ranatunga to stop the live broadcasting of Parliament and broadcast it half an hour late.Sri Lanka Latest News

He stated this while addressing an event held in Hambantota today on 10.12.2023.
Namal Rajapakse who further commented here

Unnecessary mudslinging and many other things are being talked about in the parliament. They are targeting the court and the judges and making various statements under the guise of privilege. They are wasting time on unnecessary things and talking about useless things. Look at the questions asked by the opposition leader twenty-seven. Talked for the longest time about cricket. What has been discussed about the budget headings is very few. For these reasons, I have requested the speaker and the ruling party chief organizer Prasanna Ranatunga to delay the parliamentary broadcast by half an hour. We should come to the parliament and talk only about things that are beneficial to the country and the people.
