At a time when even living has become a problem for the people of the country, the current government is engaged in political gambling and in this gambling does not have any solution to the problems of people such as oil, gas, milk powder, fertilizer, etc. Opposition leader Sajith Premadasa said today (29) He urged to get away from the practices of corrupt characteristics of the existing political culture and to get out of this situation.

The country needs a new government and it should be with a new mandate without a secret deals and it should be done through a free and fair election.

At a time when 220 lakh people have struggling for their survival, the current government is unable to fulfill at least the basic needs of the people of this country in a background where the culture of deals such as changing political heads, playing musical chairs, exchanging ministers etc are rampant.

The opposition leader emphasized that government’s priority is their stability and not stabilization of the lives of the people of the country.
The opposition leader expressed that the World Bank, Fitch rating agency as well as various diplomats like Samantha Power clearly have said that the stability of the country must be strong in order to build the country and there must be a macro economic framework in place.

He stress the fact that there is a problem with what the members of the government have done during the last few months without setting this framework right. He further said that the country can be built in this situation only through a new mandate.
For that, the leader of the opposition said should go for a new mandate as recommended by the respected Mahanayake Theros and other religious leaders of this country and this political game should be stopped.
