The car in which the state minister was travelling suddenly caught fire in Bandarawela Halpe area.
It is reported that this incident happened at around 12.45 this morning.
The fire occurred while the state minister was coming from Mahianganaya to Ella area.
However, neither the state minister nor the driver was injured in the fire.
Bandarawela Municipality’s fire department, Ella Police and residents worked together to put out the fire.
