‘SriLankans’ will be on sale on March 5th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m! Sri Lanka Latest News

Mr. Nimal Siripala de Silva, the Minister of Ports, Shipping and Aviation, announced today that the opening of bids for the purchase of SriLankan Airlines on March 05 will be conducted live and an investor will be selected. The minister expressed these views while participating in the GET REAL program of Derana 24 channel.

Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva who spoke there,

“We have invited bids and they can come on March 5 from 10 am to 2 pm. It is done live. Bids can be opened and evaluated by 2 pm. There is also a technical team to support it. They evaluate the bids. Finally, it will be presented to the cabinet. I want a strong investor who can invest at least USD 500 million. It is also necessary to secure the jobs of 6,000 people in the airline.”
