SriLankan Airlines recently entertained the first-ever group of veteran journalists from top Nepali media outlets for a familiarization tour of Sri Lanka, aiming to boost inbound tourism from Nepal. In partnership with Jetwing Hotels, the airline offered the journalists a kaleidoscope of experiences, allowing them to immerse themselves in the island’s rich cultural traditions and scenic landscapes, and engage with local communities, helping create lasting memories and compelling stories about Sri Lanka.

This debut initiative aims to spark a shift in awareness of Sri Lanka’s unique offerings among Nepali travellers and pave the way for a new market of inbound leisure travellers. With direct, convenient five-weekly flights between Colombo and Nepal, SriLankan Airlines seeks to inspire Nepali holidaymakers to explore Sri Lanka.
