Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Shivantha Fernandopulle has revealed that the ongoing shortage of medical equipment in hospitals is preventing 100% of surgeries from being performed at the optimum level.
He further stated that, given the current circumstances, doctors are also hesitant to instruct patients or their families to bring in medical equipment from outside sources.
