Popular singer Yohani de Silva has said that she is heartbroken due to the economic crisis that Sri Lanka is currently facing.

Yohani told the Indian Express website that hope is the only way to rebuild after the crisis.

She went on to say that when asked if she felt guilty for not being with her family when they were in crisis, Yohani said, “I didn’t feel guilty, I just felt bad for not being there. There are many people, I can’t bring everyone to India, but my music will reach them”.

“It’s really heartbreaking. My family, my parents, my team are all affected by the economic crisis, I am in Mumbai, I am not with them. It’s heartbreaking. But the only way is to face it and move on. “
