The Daily Mirror, published today, reports that His Excellency Sirivimala Mahanayake of Kappettiagoda said this when former Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe came to visit him.

Sirivimala Mahanayake Thero, who says that there are laws to retire people over the age of 60 from public service, says that the law does not apply to members of parliament, and suggests that new laws should be made to remove old people from politics if they do not retire voluntarily.

Sirivimala Thero says that the old politicians in the parliament are not doing anything to build the country and the only thing they are doing is selling national resources.
