Sri Lanka’s stocks edge down in mid-morning trade on Wednesday (12) after opening over 1 percent lower, Colombo Stock Exchange data showed.
The market has slipped for the fourth consecutive day.
The main All Share Price index had lost 0.71 percent or 62.15 points to 8,682 at 1125hourss.
Most liquid index lost 0.90 percent or 23.79 points to 2,629.
Market generated a turnover of 1.9 billion rupees.
Top losers were Sampath Bank, Ceylinco Insurance, Lanka IOC.
