The Sri Lankan cricket team, which participated in the 2020 World Cup, returned to Sri Lanka this morning (19).
Addressing the media at the airport, Vanindu Hasaranga, the captain of the Sri Lanka T20 cricket team, expressed regret over the team’s elimination from the tournament, attributing it to their subpar performance.
“As players, we know we did not play to our potential. We did not perform well in all three departments, which is essential for a team to succeed,” Hasaranga stated.
Unlike their usual exit through the normal passenger terminal, the team opted for the “Silk Route” terminal today, a paid facility providing additional amenities
