Sri Lanka’s liquor manufacturers have to settle 10 years in tax payables before the end of October, State Minister of Finance Ranjith Siyambalapitiya has said in a statement.
He said that a final notice had been issued for all manufacturers to settle tax arrears of 10 years, before the end of October.
The statement was released in response to an allegation made by the opposition leader that further tax concessions will be given to alcohol companies.
The minister also said that the ministry has no intention of giving tax concessions to any party that does not comply with the order.
