The country should learn “fiscal prudence and responsible governance” from the Sri Lanka crisis, and there should be no “free culture,” according to Indian Foreign Minister Dr. S. Mr. Jayashankar.
This was stated by India’s Foreign Minister at an all-party conference on the situation in Sri Lanka.
Speaking at the meeting on Tuesday, Foreign Minister S. Jayashankar stated that India did not “facilitate” former Sri Lankan President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa’s departure from Sri Lanka to the Maldives and Singapore, which was decided by those countries.
However, he also stated that no other country has provided food, fuel, medicine, or essential materials to Sri Lanka.
